The Connecticut Genealogy Index – New from Reclaim the Records

Reclaim the Records has launched an incredible resource for Connecticut researchers! Looking for information on somebody who was born, got married, had a civil union, or died in Connecticut? This NEW free searchable database provides a basic index to modern era records that were filed with the Connecticut Department of Health. This site doesn't host any actual certificates, but it can help you confirm if a record exists. CSG volunteers make over a half million corrections to 1950 US Census

FamilySearch International recently thanked the Connecticut Society of Genealogists volunteers for their amazing contribution to the 1950 US Census Community Project. Forty-five volunteers representing CSG made 571,900 corrections, including 183,100 name corrections. Thank you to everyone who participated!  

CSG News: CSG is a certified FHL affiliate

The CSG Library, located at 175 Maple Street in East Hartford, Connecticut, is a certified Family History Library Affiliate! That means you can access additional digital record collections while researching on Family Search in our library. You may bring your own device. The CSG Library is currently open to the public, Monday from 1 pm to 8 pm, Tuesday through Thursday from 11 am to 4 pm and Friday from 11 am to 3 pm.
